All my banking apps still work. Looks like Canadian banks did their homework before jumping to conclusions.
How is the fix coming down for this...via PlayStore or Galaxy Store? Or a system patch? OK, will keep an eye out for it. Thanks!I'm not 100% sure. The notice in the Samsung Members app said that Samsung would send a notification with instructions. It also said the updates are going out gradually so it may take longer for some to get it.

I did have to reenable fingerprints for the bank apps after redoing fingerprints for the device.
