Samsung S4 Active without camera lens does not autofocus

[AC Question]

My camera lens cover broke so i removed it, but now my phone isnt autofocusing. The camera lens looks fine and i have tried cleaning it. Do the lens cover have anything to do with this? Will the autofocus work if i get a new lens cover or do i need to replace the whole camera?

Because it's already broken and now not functioning properly you're likely in need of a new camera module! Is your S4 still covered under warranty? If so I'd definitely go that rite for repair. If not I would look around your local area for mobile phone repair shops and get it replaced. That could end up being the less expensive and inconveniencing alternative!
