Samsung S4 GT-19500 is dead and how can i open again without loosing the data?

Samsung S4 GT-19500 once showed factory mode and download mode with do not turn off target . I had no idea and just left the phone by charging as there was only 1% battery left. After charging about half an hour the whole phone and and tip of the charger was so hot that i took out the charger and battery too from the phone. By then i tried to charge again and press the power battery but its does show any response. Can i make it on without loosing my personal data and the apps too ? The phone used to restart again and again continuously and didn't open for long itself in before days too.

Welcome to Android Central! The first thing I'd try is a new or different battery.

Or try plugging the charger in again. If it gets hot again, it's almost definitely a dead battery. Bringing the battery down below 40% isn't too good for it. (Download means that you shouldn't turn the phone off if you're in the process of flashing something to it, otherwise you can turn it off, or hold the power button in until it restarts.)

If it doesn't get hot this time, leave it charging for at least 4 hours before you try to turn it on. It it gets hot, bring it to a repair shop and ask if they have a battery they can put into it for a moment to see if the phone will work. (Then buy a new battery from them.)
