Samsung S4 showing up all missed calls in recent days not just most recent one

Hi, I have a Samsung S4 and happen to receive many calls a day - a lot of which I miss and don't get a chance to call back.

My old iphone was ideal in that if I got a missed call I would just see the missed calls since I last checked my phone which is fine. But with Samsung, each time I miss a call, I get notified of all the others I missed also on my lockscreen - some of them going back a few weeks and not in reverse chronological order either.

How do I (a) remove this notification from my lockscreen? And (b) when I do get a notification how do I ensure that the numbers displayed are actually current missed calls - not a massive build up from weeks of missed calls with really old ones showing first?

Anyone else have this problem - just really cumbersome. Would love to be able to customize this without installing some third party app.

Welcome to the forum!

Question 1:
To the best of my knowledge there is no way to hide the missed calls or text messages.
You could always install a 3rd party lock screen like Widget Locker or Holo Locker, then turn off the stock lockscreen completely and just use the 3rd party, where you shouldn't have any issue with those popping up.

Question 2:
The best way to check your misses calls in chronological order is to tap on your PHONE icon, then once in, goto the LOGS tab at the top of the screen. Once in there you can hit your menu button ( Bottom left side ) and goto VIEW, from view you have many options to show, in your case I would choose MISSED CALLS.
I THINK that is what you were looking for and I hope this helps!

Cheers

Most chance is that you have a wrong date (month or day)
Check it
I had the same problem
When I update the right date I got the missed calls and SMS

Since the upgrade to my S4 on 11-26-14 (4.4.4) I don't receive the Caller ID (or name) with a Missed Call. How do I get that back?

Thanks!

I had the same issue after updating my S4 and this is how I was able to fix it:
Go to settings->account->samsung account->sync all and make sure it does not report any errors, then restart your phone. Hope this help, Good luck!
