Samsung S4 weather widget

If you haven't changed yet make sure you remove the default Samsung weather Widget. I got the Yahoo weather widget I noticed how much memory the Samsung one used.

Do you have to root your phone to get rid of it? It won't let me uninstall it.

You can't uninstall it, but you can disable it. In Application manager, select the app and tap Turn off. (That's on Verizon with Android 4.3; the button might have different labels on different phones.) That will prevent it from appearing in the widgets screen or anywhere else, except in the list of Turned off apps that Application manager displays.
