Samsung S5 not recognizing vibration changes?

I updated my new Samsung s5 to Lollipop last night, and noticed that the default vibration changed to a really long tone. I disliked it, so I changed it to the "Heartbeat" vibe. Whenever I received a text or any other notification, though, the tone was still the long vibration. I tried adding my contacts to a group and setting the group default vibration to my desired vibration but not even that worked. Any way to fix this...?

I'm having the exact same problem with my note 4 and I can't figure it out either! Hopefully someone will see this and know what to do
