Samsung S6 Text Notification Not Working

After the most recent update, my text notification no longer works. The ringtone still works successfully. I've tried enabling and disabling the notification sound, and restarting my phone, but neither resolved the issue.

I receive a notification next to the text message icon, but no sound.

Go to the Messaging app, tap Menu>Settings, then look for the notification options. What happens if you select another tone -- does it play a sample for you?

I have the exact same problem on my Galaxy 6 phone, no text notification sounds. The icon appears, but no sound. I've tried everything I can find to try. It plays all the sample sounds for me when I try them. Was there a recent update in the last few days? Still need help getting the Text sounds! Thanks.
