Hey all,
Several weeks ago I joined S7 beta program and updated my phone.
A little bit about my experience with that:
1. Every so often some random app will not open and eventually the phone will say "restart the app" or "close the app." I found that deleting that app's cache solves the issue most of the time. If not, forcing it to close worked every time so far.
2. As soon as I connect my phone to Gear VR, it reboots. Also not a big deal for me as I am not yet addicted to VR : )
3. The phone seems to have a better battery life.
Overall I am happy.
My biggest (though still minor) concern right now is that the Beta app is no longer on my phone nor am I able to locate it in the Samsung app store.
Now I am reading that Samsung will skip 7.0 for S7 and will go straight to a later version, like 7.1.1. Since that potentially pushes the update delivery into who knows when in 2017, that leaves me with using the beta software for longer than I'd hoped.
Plus, it'd be nice to use the VR every so often, afterall :-D
Any thoughts on this, ladies and gents? Thanks!
