Samsung s7 gained a new swipe up screen with ads before the lock screen

out of the blue my s7 has as unknown page with ads that appears which I must swipe up to be able to get to my lock screen when I wake up my ph to use or if a incoming message arrives, how do I remove this?

Hi, put phone in safe mode see if it goes away, if so uninstall any 3rd party apps that are causing this one by one until it goes away.

Did any apps update recently?

Try using the phone in safe mode. This is usually accessed by long-pressing the power off icon on the power menu. If the issue goes away then it's an issue with an app you have installed. I once had an app that I trusted update and along with the update came an ad "payload" similar to what you're experiencing. Once I removed that app, the ad went away.

It's probably the result of a free app supported by ads, safe mode would prevent 3rd party apps from running, may need to start uninstalling recently installed apps one by one.
