Samsung S7 - My dialer stops working, then asks to close app or wait.

Samsung 7, just ran system update. Open "recents", click on contact, click on phone icon, app pops up and says it has stopped working and asks to close or wait. I choose wait or close and then it will dial. Any ideas?
