Android Central Question

I am having a problem saving a contact to my contacts list. The name and number is coming up on my “recent” list as if it is in my phone, but when accessing my contacts icon (associated with my google account) from my phone home screen, the contact is not listed in there. There is a “groups” section in the contacts list. Clicking the groups section pulls up all these different groups for example, ICE- emergency contacts, coworkers, family, friends, and another “my contacts” list. When I click that secondary “my contacts” from the “groups” tab under the original open screen from my home screen icon, this is where I can locate the contact I am trying to save in my original contacts list. Is there a way to maybe merge the two lists together to make it one or to delete this whole groups section altogether? Merging preferably as the secondary my contacts list is the one that has the contact in question.

Also, not sure if there is any connection but how do you edit or delete from the Verizon cloud?

Welcome to Android Central! It's important to know which account you're trying to save the contact to -- your Google account, your Samsung account, or the local Phone account. Can you figure that part out?
