Verizon Galaxy S8 Samsung S8 black screen, solid blue light

Hi.

I'm having this problem on one of our phones. None of the "quick" fixes work. The blue light remains on solidly, the screen remains black.

What - if anything - can be done to save this phone?

If when you turn off the phone you see the blue light immediately after powering back on and don't see the android logo or any other booting images (and can't get into recovery mode), this is not a software fix. You need to fix the screen (either a loose connector, damaged panel, or even damaged motherboard...they're all possibilities).
 
Well. That certainly is not good news. But not unexpected.

Is it worth sending to Samsung to be fixed? We have no warranty on the dumb thing.

You can always get an estimate before the repair if there's no warranty, even in any other repair shop.
 
What happens when you connect it to a charger? If you have no warranty then its going to be a hefty cost :/ you may just need the software rebooting try samsung kies and enter recovery mode eith a pc :)
