Samsung S8 stops working overnight

[Android Central Question]

overnight the phone stops receiving email or making notifications. In the morning when it is first moved at all it is FLOODED with email notifications. Any app that needs to use network access in any way also stops working completely until the phone is touched and moved again in the morning. battery saver is disabled, all apps are added to the don't-sleep option.

basically overnight the phone is a completely useless boat anchor.

Do you have the do not disturb enabled? That's what this sounds like.

Rule out the router and modem needing to be rebooted? I added a wifi Access Point for better coverage around the house but it sometimes needs to be turned off and on.

And I use to have turn wifi off, then back on, never found out why.

Interference from other wifi networks in your area?

Looks like it's going into Doze mode overnight, which I haven't seen in Samsung phones yet unless you turn off AOD. If you have it off, turn it on and see if it improves anything.

I agree. Sounds like do not disturb is enabled.
