There used to be a tabs button on the bottom right corner of the screen when I was on google. It's disappeared, so now I can't close or browse my tabs easily. Can anyone tell me how to get it back?
As far as I can see there is no "merge apps and tabs" under settings.

Im not exactly sure what you are asking, but here are a coue options of what I think you may mean....

Google Chrome: There is a little square with a number in it between the address bar and the 3 dots (menu). The number in the square shows how many tabs you have open. Tap the square to scroll through the tabs.

On the phone to scroll through open apps, it is in the lower left (looks like 2 L's laying on their side.

Oh yeah, I forgot that Samsung has the reversed button arrangement compared to most other phones.:-\

Are you talking about the Chrome browser, or another browser? I assume you don't mean the Google app itself.

I also assume that you're talking about the browser's tab management button, and not the system's Recent Apps button. Can you show us a screenshot of the browser screen? http://forums.androidcentral.com/ge...ide-how-post-screenshots-android-central.html

Thank you for the reply.
I mean the main google browser. There used to be a bar above the navigation bar at the bottom, which had a tabs button. This allowed you to view all tabs and swipe to clear them, or clear all.
The 3 buttons at the top so not have an option to see tabs.
I'll post pics at the bottom of this thread.

1st pic, this is the browser I use.
2nd pic, there's the navigation bar, but the bar that used to have the tabs button has disappeared. Under the drop down menu in the top corner there is no option to clear tabs.
I have no idea how to clear tabs.

That isn't a full browser. I think it is called a custom tab. You can't access other tabs.
You need to select "open in Samsung internet".

I agree with this.

You are opening the web pages in the Google app and not with a full browser. To change this behaviour open the Google app - tap 'more' bottom right - settings - accounts & privacy - switch 'open web pages in Google app' off. Next time you open a link from the Google app/search widget you will get a selection menu to select which browser you want to use.

I've always used it like this and it was fine until a couple of days ago.
That button is already on

That's exactly what I meant, with that button ON the web pages will be opened in the Google app. As I said, switch it OFF and see if now it works as you want.
