Samsung S9 and S9plus

On the S7 there was an icon "memo"; great to for storing information etc.
Since havin ghb S9+, I'm bewilidered as I can't find t but e icon anywhere and having said that none of my file notes transferred to my new phone. Help please?

Welcome to Android Central! Was this "File Notes" app preinstalled, or did you install it yourself? From what I can tell, the preinstalled note-taking app for the S7 is called "Memo": Creating a note on my mobile phone - Samsung Galaxy S7 - Optus

The problem with using the preinstalled note-taking app on any phone is that the notes you create often don't sync or backup anywhere. This may be the case for your "File Notes" app. I always recommend using a note-taking app that works across different devices and platforms, like Google Keep or Evernote.
