Samsung S9+ Lost all my contacts after a reboot

I restarted my phone and noticed that except for a 2 to 3 contacts, 30-35 contact info have disappeared. How do I get my contacts back and what is causing it. I have had a samsung phone and never faced this issues on the older models.

My contact info is back, after I did another reboot. It's scary that for no reason my Contacts folder was blanked out. There's a bug that needs fixing -Android people!! There was no prior warning given to indicate there was an issue to warn the customer.

Welcome to Android Central! Glad that your contact info is back. Where do you save the contacts to? I strongly advise you to save them to your Google account, since they'll immediately get synced to your Google Contacts in the cloud. If they're only saved to the local Phone account, they don't get synced anywhere automatically, and if something happens to the phone, you lose that data.
