Because other phone manufacturers are sending phones out with pre installed screen protectors probably.

The staff in my local Samsung Experience Store are pretty good and were only too happy to fit the bought from them plastic protector while in the store.

I'm no not good at fitting plastic protectors !

I think PET film is a lot easier to work with than plastic but I don't think it's as smooth.

I just don't like the feel of other options to the glass protectors. Having glass options in my opinion means the user experience is pretty much the same feel as the underneath screen and can provide more protection.

The s pen imo works smoother on the glass options too.

I agree it works so much smoother on glass. Right now I'm using the screen protector that came with the phone. Everything is working fine now so I'll keep it on for as long as it lasts.

I too buy the IQ SHIELD brand screen protectors and they honestly look and feel a lot like this plastic protector Samsung put on the phone. It is a little challenging get the protector to line up perfectly though. I'm personally not a fan of glass screen protectors so when Samsung's protector is at its EOL, I'll put on my IQ SHIELDS. I've been using this brand on my Note 8 for almost 2 years.

The Note 8 is where I first used IQ Shield. Before that I've never heard of it.

Does Samsung send you a couple screen protectors for free if yours is damaged? I thought I read that they were doing that for the S10 series, but I wasn't certain.

Yes Samsung will replace the one you have for free if you contact them.

Looks like they won't be shipping you one anymore. You have to go in store to have one applied because of the UV curing, or you ship your device in.
