Samsung Security concerns

I always considered Samsung to have some serious security but i just watch someone get into it in under a minute.
i thought my phone was safe behind a 9-point symbol code, if they try to brute force it then it will lock or delete everything...

all they had to do was use the emergency dialer, put in a code and run some software through USB and they had full control.

how do we know if this hole has been plugged?
is there a workaround to stop this exploit?

as far as i know, the exploit takes advantage of being able to send debug commands through the emergency dialer and affects ALL Samsung phones

There used to be a vulnerability a looooong time ago on Android 5, but that was also patched a looooong time ago.
