Samsung smart switch

Once I get my new s9+, I will transfer all of my apps etc using Samsung smart switch. Will it also transfer the apps on the SD card? I just want a seamless transfer to my new phone.

I don't know if it does the sd card - I haven't used one in ages. But, if you smart switch and then put that card in the new phone, it should be good to go, at least I'd imagine it would be.

I'm a little old school when switching phones. Since I use the cloud for storage of almost everything and only have photo/video files on my card I tend to just load apps one at a time on the new phone. I know this is tedious but I feel like the new phone will run smoother than way. Probably all in my head
