I just downloaded the 'new' version of Smart View to my Note 4 and they've got rid of the watching TV on Android device part! All that is left is the sending media to the TV part. Like there's any shortage of ways to do that! So quickly uninstalled that again. I'd been waiting for the update hoping the TV mirror feature would also become available for the Tab S as well, but no such luck.
Anyway, I used 'App Backup and Restore' to send the APK for the earlier 'good' earlier version from my phone to the Tab S and it works fine. Should have done that before instead of waiting but whatever, it seems to be working so now I can watch my TV on the tablet if I want.
One of the selling points for Samsung kit was that you could watch your TV from a mobile device and now I've bought their TV they've removed the feature from the app 'update' (downgrade?). Previously I bought a Note 4 and then they don't launch the Note 5 in Europe. Thanks Samsung.
