Samsung Stock email App.

Hi,

Help please.

I'm just setting up my new s8 and have come to adding some Accounts.

In regards to the Stock email app.

I'm in the U.K and use a btinternet.com email address.

When I try adding that in it reverts to saying it's a Yahoo email address which it isn't.

It lets me Key in the email address.

It won't let me then key in my password.

It won't self set up as it says the email address isn't recognised.

If I try setting up manually and saying it's an imap style email address it doesn't let me get past.

Funnily enough if I use the gmail email imap selection it all sets up which is fine but I can't seem to set up it's preferences to show the number of new emails that needs reading. (Badges).

It seems from a Google Search that Gmail doesn't have this feature. Unless Nova Prime is used which I'm not really wanting to use.

I was able to use my email address in the Stock email app on my previous s7 edge.

Any ideas ?

Hi. I'm having the same issue. I can input manually as POP3 but then my account does not since properly, ie my new emails download but I cannot access the server to view my sent items, folder etc.
Did you manage to sort this?
