Samsung Strikes Back, plans to sue Apple with LTE patents

Considering iPad has LTE it's obvious that next iPhone will have LTE too, so samsung that owns some LTE patents plans to use them againts Apple and it's new iPhone if it will have LTE which is most likely

Samsung plans to use LTE patents to sue Apple over next-gen iPhone

So war contiues and seems we reaching cheapter 2 :p

If they're related to LTE, they'd be Standards Essentials Patents. FRAND would come into play here. I hope Samsung doesn't make themselves look bad by trying to overcharge Apple on SEPs.

They won't do it. Samsung is already under antitrust investigation and has gotten slapped around by courts around the world any time they've attempted to use SEPs against apple. If they sue apple over LTE, especially since the iPad has had LTE since march, they will be opening themselves up to full antitrust investigations that could cost them hundreds of millions. That, and apple also has hundreds of LTE patents from Nortel that could be levied against Samsung, and any parts apple buys will certainly already be licensed by ETSI.

Samsung skipped the iPad because it wasn't a worthy target and doesn't sell nearly as well as the iPhone, believe what you want Samsung is serious. And apples one to talk for the matter, you want to talk about trusts and monopolies look at their grand scheme of operations, its pretty obvious they've really pulled the wool over lots of peoples eyes.

So you're saying a company with market share between 14% and 30% marketshare is a monopoly? Please enlighten us with how that's possible.

I think you need to look up the definition of a monopoly.
