the message keeps changing from usb connected to usb not connected. port appears clean. have changed this once a couple of months ago. not charging.

It may need repairer attention, for slight damage to the connector for example.

You could have a bad cable or bad USB port on the tab! Try different cables and then might need a trip to a repair shop!
