Samsung Tab A6 7inch t280 KIDS MODE to watch downloaded TV shows

Samsung Tab A6 7inch t280 out of the box, downloaded TV shows on google play for the kids, and you cant see them on the Samsung video app at all, or in the Samsung my files app at all. Problem is because of this you cant add the TV shows to Kids Mode which is the whole purpose for the Tablet. Apps work and can be added to kids mode. The TV shows are definitely downloaded, as they can be watched using google 'play' when off line and show in the downloaded library.
All I want is for them to be accessed in Kids mode, but you can’t add the google play app to kids mode either as a work around.
I bought x2, for 2 of my kids, both the same. Have updated to latest apps and android 5.1.1 was already installed, and no further updates are available.

I'm a bit confused -- are you the OP, sfoLAX, or are you bumping because you're interested in the thread?

TV shows purchased and downloaded from Google Play Store are intended for viewing using the Google Play Movies & TV app only -- are you saying that the Google Play Movies & TV app can't be accessed using Kids Mode? If that's the case, then try a 3rd party kid-safe launcher, like Kids Place. I use it for my 7 year old, and it works great.

It also depends where the files are downloaded to as Kids Mode doesn't allow sd card access
