Samsung tablet - error code "unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped"

[Android Central Question]

This error message appears and when I press OK, in hopes of getting to settings, I just keep getting that same error message. I'm in a loop and can't get to any other app on the device.

Any suggestions?

Hold down the power button until the phone restarts.
