Am I the only one that could careless about a gingerbread update? I don't see what all the Hype is about but in regards to what the OP wrote, Samsung is known for long lead times on updates.

You're not alone. I've never understood the fascination with updates. In my experience, software updates often create more new problems than they solve old problems.

I'm quite pleased with Froyo. But each to his own.

i suppose Samsung is just using us as Guinea pigs, to help them work out some bugs, before they make an official release
