They were never gonna fix that. Samsung cameras have always had that smoothing. Not sure why but its their thing.

I have actually had great results with the front facing 40MP camera - it's the focusing issue on the back camera that I want fixed.

S20 was better, but still not as good as Pixel. I am experimenting with Gcam on Note 10 now, it seems to do alot better then stock Samsung software (on skin tones and skin details at least)

Edit....I am actually talking about rear camera. Not sure about front

I believe on the front you can turn off beauty mode but still Samsung has some smoothening going on in post processing. But overall I like the selfies on the Ultra to be drastically better than previous Samsung phones.
