I am kind of mad right now.... because I just saw a pretty decent trade-in deal
offered by Samsung. (because I just received *only* $183 from VZW's own
trade-in website)

Samsung USA is currently offering $220 cash if you trade-in your HTC Rezound
in good condition. You send your phone, they send you a check for $220.

you must also purchase a Samsung Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note, or Galaxy S II. ?
(they want you to provide proof of purchase and/or IMEI/serial number of the
Samsung phone you're upgrading to)

Too late for me... but if anyone is getting rid of the HTC Rezound, that's a
pretty nice deal! You even get to keep the Beats headphones.

Sure, you may get a few more bucks by putting it on eBay, but not really worth
the hassle, or is it?

Agreed. Besides after paying all the damn fees ebay and paypal charge you'll probably end up with less than $220. Great find!

well... you can save the quote first. it'll be good for the next 30 days, according to the
Samsung upgrade website.

isn't the unlocked S3 going to full retail price only?

Thanks for this man. I just filled in the info, and my "quote" for my rezound is good for 30 days, so if the unlocked version is released in the next 30 days, I can still get $220 for my rezound.

Not sure if I want to upgrade yet, so just to let everyone know, they guarantee the quote for 30 days.

like other have already said, you can absolutely get the $220.

however, I'm not sure if this deal will work if your S3's IMEI or
serial number is from a non-US market.(like EU or Asia)

Yes, you need to enter the imei of the gs3 that you bought for the final paperwork . You can get a quote without having yet purchased the s3 and it is good for 30 days, then buy the s3 within that 30 days.

10 days? I thought it was supposed to be good for 30 days?
