This is good news. Hopefully this means that Samsung has resolved some of their past issues with their trade in department. However, I'm still going to be looking at the new option I found out about to do a trade in directly with the Samsung store when it's time to upgrade. FedEx can't steal it and the trade in center can't lie about a cracked screen if I can just deal with Samsung directly. Probably when the S24 ultra comes out.

No, they are not receiving a bunch of trade ins yet, most are waiting 10 days just to make sure they want to keep it before they send in their trade in. Once you send the trade in, you aren't getting it back, and you aren't going to get $1,200 refunded to you if you return the fold 6.

This is one benefit of sending the trade-in right away, they don't have many to do yet, so the approval process is fast now. . If FedEx does their job, most trade in phones are usually cleared in 10 to 15 days if you wait. Some take longer, but as long as you don't get the charge back email, you're good, just be patient.

I doubt Samsung has resolved anything. Most of the issues are with FedEx stealing the phone. Happened to me last year, but never happened for so many times I have traded in before. And didn't happen this time, but unfortunately there will be instances we will see this year as well with stealing phones.

Meant to say when the s25 ultra comes out. Also the representative told me that they match trade in values with Samsung online so whatever trade in values are showing in the website or app will be the same values in store. I even asked her about my current phone to be sure and was told I could have received $800 trade in for my S23 ultra toward a new fold 6 if I had chosen to preorder it last weekend. This was the same trade value on the website at the time.

I will be working on recording packing up my old device today. I really dislike the fed ex location i have to go to. They really want people to use the drop box and I don't want to. I had the gal last year argue with me about it, she finally took it but I suspect she put it in the box the minute I left the store. I don't like that the items that go in the box don't get scanned until later in the day. It's too easy to just have one pkg mysteriously go missing! Question: I already took my old device back to factory... is there a way to get the imei off of it? Totally forgot to do that!
It should be under My Products in the Samsung app if it was registered
