Might as well get used to it, SD card is leaving. I was like you, but there comes a time you have to just give up on old technology. Not me. I waited to see if had a micro sd slot and does not. Traded my Note 10+ and got the Note 20 Ultra and put my 1TB micro sd in it. IMO, a more practical device than the Fold 3. How Samsung can charge that much and tout as a multimedia and power user device, but no external storage is not for me. Not a fan of the the "cloud" for storage and travel too much to rely on it.
I run both of them, I can one hand the fold a lot easier then the note 20. My fold fits in my pant pocket better then the note 20. The notes were getting to wideAlso has a micro sd slot and easier to handle- not to mention less overall size.
You get a bonus amount on the first trade.I was fiddling around the pre-order site and I noticed that the trade-in values for the devices differ based on if it's the 1st or 2nd device you set up. For example, if you designate your 1st trade in device to be a Note 9, you'll get $450, and if you then designate a Tablet S7+ as the second device, you'll get only $200 for it. If you switch it around and designate the Tablet S7+ as your first device, you'll get $450, and if you then do Note 9 as the second device, you'll only get $150! Seems like the "enhanced values" for trade ins are only for the first device, so if you're trading in more than 1 device, make sure the first device is giving you the maximum trade in value.
There is a 21 day try out with no money paid that I am considering, but damn I just went to GSMArena to compare specs between the Z Fold 3 and the Note 20U and it really doesn't seem like it's a real upgrade, save for the CPU/GPU. Not really sure anymore.

Yeah, everyone is different, I am probably just used to the thicker part, we do tend to adapt to things like that over time. I just love the fact that I can do most things one handed on the front screen and when I want the bigger screen, it's just a flip away.I get what you are saying about the width but man the thickness... and if you were going to use a case like the Spigen... then it's getting there in width of the N20U (without case) and now it's even chunkier.
Note 20U I don't have problem with width and personally feels better in hand and in front pocket being thinner. But I am also running a kevlar Lattercase preserving the original dimensions. I have a buddy with a Note with an Otterbox and that thing is ridonkulous to hold and pocket and probably hate it if I had to use it.
Not as chunkier and heavy as maybe... my P365 in pocket. But I don't want a phone to be as chunky as other things I am willing to pocket carry.
I pre-ordered directly from Samsung shop app and not seeing the s-pen pro. What's tea?I'm fairly certain that the Z Fold 3 will have better trade-in deals. $450 is what is being offered for all Galaxy phones. $900 for S21U or Note20U seems a stretch though.
The Z Fold 2 will be a year old in 2 months. But I do think I could see $900 on trading it in.
If the 3 comes with the rumored SPen Pro and other accessories, so much the better. Well know before long now.

I am assuming the Spen case will do what you say. I went ahead and got it as one of my free things to just try it out and I don't need anything else they had as a choice.Yeah I really like that front screen is a decent size for one handed and daily use. Cause I think most often that will be used more than the inside screen. I just spent the week vacationing in Maine and New York and using the phone all day for Google Maps in car to looking up stuff like finding attractions, restaurants etc all on the move... you don't wanna do it with screen open IMO. The inside screen will be fun when on the airplane and I'm binging on Queen's Gambit.
It's getting better with every gen and I liking it more with every gen... just maybe by gen 5 they'll address my personal wants in a Fold.
You're really not going to use a pen with it much though right? I mean you add the pen and the case they sell with it, then that width advantage goes out the window.
I was tempted to get the Spen pro instead. It has a 10 percent discount was going for 89.99 but then i would have to spend more money because what else can you get with remainder. Besides the Spen Pro is huge with no place to put it. I may get it later and the bundle was a better deal.I am assuming the Spen case will do what you say. Yeah i got the case with smaller basic spen , so might get the other Pro down the road , who knows i may use both spen as chopsticksI was tempted to get the Spen pro instead.
