Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked 2023 was bigger, better, and boringer

I'll tell you why these events occur, just look at the garbage Americans and much of the world watch: Transformers, Spider Man, Super Hero movies, big bang explode shoot-em-up CGI junk that captivate (some). You just can't have regular roll-outs, there's no fantasy involved, that and the marketing people tell you it's important...which is just why I don't watch them.

I'm not getting the comparison you're making. The Samsung event was a bunch of people standing on a stage talking at a crowd.. what has that got to do with modern cinema?

As opposed to roll-out via company web sites like Jerry alluded to. And you have to admit, many of these presentations have been over the top.

They have to do it, because Apple does it. And Apple have been doing it since before the current age of cinema.

Also, try to bear in mind that there aren't very many changes this year... They have to make people buy the same watch for the third time in a row and the same phone twice in a row somehow.

Also also bear in mind that you may think it's just a couple of phones and a watch, but if you are Samsung mobile, this is literally the most important date on the calendar this year. Of course they try to make it a big deal.

All that said, I watched the event and agree that it was both boring and pointless.Jokes on me, I suppose.

If you think that's over the top, you haven't seen product launches from Intel, AMD or Nvidia.
