Samusung S 10.5 Mail App, can I get some help?

Samusung S 10.5 Mail App

When I am creating an email in the OEM mail app and I then go to select the "TO" email the contacts come up but there are several duplicates. When I check my contacts these duplicates do not appear?
How do I clean up these duplicates and where are they originating from? I am using "Hotmail" and they are not there either?

Can anyone help me on this?

Welcome to Android Central!

They could be in your Gmail contacts, the best way to fix it is to log in to your Gmail account from a PC. Go to contacts and there should be an option to merge or fix duplicate contacts.
