Android Central Question

Hi there. I have a Samsung S5 mini dual sim. I have never had any problems with GPS, but since a few days it is no longer working. I have download GPS test and GPS essentials and both show about 20 satellites in view, but there´s no lock. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks very much.

Try this:

Open the Phone, as if you were going to make a phone call and dial -
*#9090# -- Diagnostic Configuration (*#197328640# if that doesn't work)
Menu, select Key Input, enter Q
Menu, select Key Input, enter 0000
wait for the next menu. (It takes a while.)
UMTS->COMMON->NV REBUILD->NV REBUILD->SYSTEM->PROTOCOL->GPS->IMS
or, if you don't have UMTS:
UE SETTINGS & INFO->SETTING->SYSTEM->NV REBUILD->ALL

Restart the phone.

what to do with HTC One M9?
i have the same issue .

Thank you for your help Rukbat. When I do this, I get a screen with DIAG CONFIG and ´NOT SUPPORT´ on the line underneath. When I follow steps 3 and 4 (select key input), nothing happens, so I don´t get past that stage. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

Hi Rubak,
I tried what you suggested on my Note 3 (SM-N9000W8) with Android 5.0, but it did not work. I don't have UMTS. I hardware reset to factory setting several times, clean the GPS taps by removing the back of the phone, tightened screws, etc. but the GPS will still sees about 20 satellites but the signal power was so week and none will be used. Your post had helped a lot of people, but not my phone. Any other suggestions?
