So I know the update is for the S4 so far but does anyone know when/if we are are gonna see it on the S3??

And yes I did search for how to do the work around never found one to actually work like the update that was announced is supposed to work like back in my S2 days lol

I believe it is supposed to let you save apps and such to the sd card but I may be wrong. I would think they would push this to the s3 but after the last fiasco of an update I would think it may be a while before they push it out. Would be great to see it come to the s3 though.

You are correct it was feature that was available in froyo 2.2 (apps to SD) - I use to use it alot but it was never very stable and had a few problems - it is better to have more internal memory then a work around like that, but if you are short on memory it is useful for really big apps that you don't use often and is better than nothing. As far as it coming to the S3, I haven't heard of anything like that coming to the S3.

Having the data split between multiple locations makes for slower reading and loading of apps. Also, even if the update were to happen tomorrow across all devices, app developers would still have to integrate it.

Cool. Just thought it would be cool to have back that feature for big memory apps. I didn't know it caused apps and stuff to slow down.
Learn something new everyday. :)

It would be like a computer. The slowest part of a computer is the Hard Drive, just substitute SD Card for Hard Drive.
