I ran into a recent problem and took a while for me to find a solution and wanted to pass the information along in case someone else needed the help as well ...
I recently got another phone (blackberry) for work and I just swap my SIM between it and my Vivid depending on what I need that day. Well, I wanted to put all of my contacts on my SIM card so that when I put it in my BlackBerry I would still have them ... Apparently, ICS on the Vivid will not sync the contacts to the SIM card. When I go to try to export contacts to SIM, it always says error cannot copy. After research I've realized that there is some sort of issue with ICS and doing this.
Anyways, I found an app in the market called Contacts2SIM - it seems to work very well, and it did the trick flawlessly. I'm not sure if anyone else is like me who doesn't like to back up contacts to google sync and/or does not have Outlook. This app works well for what is needed.
