At&t just updated the pantech flex. Wow, the s3 is really at the bottom of the update list. Maybe we'll see something in Sept. or Oct !!!!!!

I wouldn't update it if I were making the call for ATT. The S3 is out less than 2 years, so effectively everyone is under contract. In other words, they have nothing to gain making you happy, and everything to gain dangling the S4 in front of you should you lose patience and decide to shell out for an early upgrade.

The Flex isn't ahead of the S3; the S3 got updated first, so I wouldn't say it's at the bottom of the list.

anyone who ditches the S3 for the S4 just to get the upgraded JB 4.1.2 or even 4.2 needs their head checked.

I truly don't understand all of the belly aching over not having 4.1.2. It just isn't that big a deal

The S3 has 4.1.2... and the S4 has 4.2.2...

it's not a big deal, it's just the point of other and older phones are being updated and not ours. At least a bug fix update even if there is none. Anything would show some kind of appreciation too its s3 owners.
