I'm having difficulty scanning a document in Drive, I can see the document on the screen but can't perform the functions listed in the instructions below. I've hit the shutter several times, but can't find the document anywhere.
Here's the clipping below. I can't get anything beginning with the CROP. What am I missing?

Open the Google Drive app [https://storage].

In the bottom right, tap Add [https://lh3].

Tap Scan [https://lh3].

Take a photo of the document you'd like to scan.

Adjust scan area: Tap Crop [https://lh3]

Help!!!!

After you take the shot, do you see a check mark appear on the shutter button?

BTW, what are the links you included? None of them work. Are they supposed to be screenshots?

It should generate a name for your PDF and then ask where in your Google Drive you want to save the file.

Thanks. I was using the scan feature directly with Google Drive and the instructions from the Web, which I copied and pasted. So I went to HP'S HP Smart. Using that App solved the problem.

I'm glad you found a solution, but I'm still wondering why you were having issues with Drive's own scan feature. It should be pretty straightforward ...

Thanks again. I thought it was strange also. I must have tried at least 3X wirh Drive, but when it worked with HP Smart, I just moved on.
The next time I need to scan, I'll try again.

On my iPhone I have used Scanner Pro with great results.
On my Pixel 5 I use Lens. Almost as easy as Scanner Pro, plus it's free.
