Scanner?

I'm new and have read about scanners that allows me to scan apps, etc. Can someone offer more info of what a scanner can do. Also, must I d/l the app or is it a loaded app on my new phone.

I'm guessing that you're talking about a QR code scanner. You need to download an app from the market and this will allow u to scan links for apps to the market, and other things. U can also install an app called Google goggles which allows u to use ur camera to scan objects and search them on Google.
