Scratch on phone

Hey guys, I just got my HTC U11 this afternoon and as I was taking off the plastic wrapping I noticed a very light semi-long hairline scratch on the back glass. I hadn't even touched the back glass at this point, i was carefully removing the plastic wrapping. I e-mailed HTC support and they said they would help to replace the device, but asked for a picture. Trying to take a picture of the back of the phone is pretty hard haha.

The reflections on the phone make it hard to see the scratch. I just put in a request to return and ordered a new one. I also checked and my device is also "uncertified" in the google play store. BTW this is from an HTC.COM order.

Just wanted to let everyone know so maybe they could check their backs and see if there are any fine scratches as well.

I'm sorry you received a scratch, but that's great that things are moving along with your return process. May be a dumb idea, but, what about a dark-room picture with the flash on, so the lighting in the room doesn't illuminate the different shades of the device's back colour?

Amazing silver here as well and no scratches or cracks. I got some update immediately for the unlocked model and my play store says certified.
