Has anyone notice they have scratches on the back of the phone? I noticed one scratch before I put a case on and then the next day I took they case off and noticed several more scratches

That's the new softer Gorilla Glass 5. I had scratches on the front and back of my Note 7 within days of owning it. I put a Whitestone Dome glass on the front and a Slickwrap on the back of my Note 8 right away.

I got a slickwrap clear matte on back of mine. I love it. Love the smooth feel of it.

I currently have the Alcantera Slickwrap on the back of mine but I just ordered the black leather type.

I put mine in a case before I left the T-Mobile store. I did not remove the plastic film from the back when I placed the phone in the case.

Its my fault really. I refuse to pay the money on cases at TMobile so i waited for my speigen case to come in. I still don't understand how the scratches got there after I put the case on

SlickWrap'd back of mine as well as, for now, a Spigen screen protector. When glass protectors mature a little and manufacturers get "the curve" down I'll transition to glass screen protection.

The Whitestone Dome glass is all that. Perfect fit and smoother than the screen. Absolutely no loss of sensitivity. Worth every bit of the $50 in my opinion.

nothing on mine for the first week and no scratches at all, screen protector I got was either defective or a fake so had to give up on it and no problems with my screen either.
got one of these slim cases and am very impressed with quality and it literally adds no bulk to the phone, really only got it because I'm going to Spain where there is tiles and cobblestones everywhere so a little added corner and bezel protection was bought for some kinda peace of mind

There’s a small scratch on the back of mine.

I have it inside my Rugged Armor and will likely stay there.

Unless u have a airtight case like a life proof dirt is going to get in there and cause friction between the case and the phone. This effect will be more pronounced with a glass phone than a metal phone. It's very common. You ought to see my iPhone 7 plus jet black. Looks like crap and I've had a case on it the entire time.

Gorilla Glass 5 = easy to scratch. The back I feel has a slightly different finish than the front, probably for better grip. I highly recommend adding a DBrand skin or Slickwrap skin if you want to keep the phone in pristine condition. I have a skin wrap on my phone and a case still fits over it.

Also the fingerprint scanner will scratch very quickly, it's just a glossy plastic surface.

Not really your fault. Gorilla Glass 5's fault. Known to scratch easily. Dirt may have gotten underneath case and therefore scratching the glass. Unavoidable. Just gotta accept it bc that's how phones are now.

Back of my S7 got scratched up because a few grains of sand got into the case, rather dissapointed my S7 has more wear and tear in a case then my Note 4 did with no case.

These "Premium" materials are a joke.
