I'm sure this has been asked at some point, but I haven't found any information yet.

Does anyone know the brightness level for the new phones? How much light does the screen emit at highest levels?

Nobody knows yet. I know that the Pixel XL screen gets brighter than the regular Pixel does.

I always have my 6p set to 50% auto bright. How's it not bright enough?

I keep my phone at 40% most of the time so I understand what you mean about bright enough, but outside and in other bright locations the 6P is not known as a particularly bright phone. I normally don't have an issue myself, but there are the occasions when I would like the brighter screen.

Same here I don't have an issue unless I'm outside.

Although I agree that the 6p could be brighter in the sunlight, I think the issue is exasperated because it takes so long for the phone to go to max brightness. I guess that is the fault of a slow operating adaptive brightness, maybe it should be called "Eventual Brightness".
