Screen brightness

I like to have my screen always on full brightness. I set it up like this and turn off automatic. Every time the phone is turned on it goes to automatic again. Can't seem to find a way to keep it on manual and full brightness. So irritating! Does somebody know anything about this?

I am a new P30 pro user and have the same problem. Did you ever find a solution?
