Hi All I did a search of the forums on this issue and did not find anything so hopefully this isn't a repeat. Anyway, got my S4 the day before it launched like most did via the pre order process. That first week when configuring the phone I turned on daydream and selected the flipboard option under daydream (since flipboard came pre installed). Fast forward two weeks and I suddenly notice a ghosted flipboard logo and some of it's header imaging persistent at the top of my screen no matter what app i'm in, homepage etc etc! Obviously I immediately disabled daydream and a week later it's still there (not that I thought it would go away at that point). Also I tried the basic things: powering down with the power button, powering down by pulling the battery and letting it sit for an hour before starting back up....no change.

So my reasons for posting this are:
1. To warn others about not getting burned the same way I did
2. To see if anyone else has had the same issue to get a better idea of how common this sort of issue is
3. To understand what options we have in this situation....Verizon's 15 day exchange is up but I have to believe Verizon or Samsung will stand behind an issue that so far seems to be based on standard functionality with pre installed apps....all I did was press some buttons.

What do you guys think? I knew AMOLED could in theory burn in and people had concerns about daydream because of this but after 2.5 weeks!?!? Thanks in advance to all of you

Sorry to hear that man, this is the downside of amoled displays. Mind showing us a pic of how bad it is?

WTF is Daydream and it's purpose?

Sorry to hear and good luck, hope it gets sorted out.

I'm not totally sure as I haven't enabled it, but I think it's a screen saver.

It's under warranty. Call your carrier and get a new one sent to you

The description on the phone under that setting is: To control what happens when the device is docked and/or sleeping, enable daydream.

Sad I didn't get your warning earlier... It Funny how a screensaver causes burn in, I've got the s5 with flipboard and it burned in the logo on the upper left side of the screen two weeks later, I just requested a swap from T-Mobile and will have to pay 5 bucks shipping, booooooooooo!!

Add me to the list of people who wish they saw this earlier...the fact is labeled as a screensaver is hilarious.
