Screen dimming issue

My screen is not on auto brightness but it seems to keep dimming for no apparent reason. Any help would be appreciated.

I've done some research and it seems that it's a bit of a wide spread problem. In many cases, owners say their PayPal app is causing it. I haven't tried uninstalling it yet. But any ither ideas would be appreciated.
