Screen flashing when on a call

Every time I try to text or do something else when on a call the screen begins flashing when ever I attempt to do anything else other than just stay on the call. Anyone have a solution for this?

Flashing in what way? Does it actually flicker completely off then on? Or does it flicker between the in-call dialer screen and what you're trying to do?

It flickers between the in caller screen and what I'm trying to do.

Did this only start after a system update? I'd try a cache partition wipe first. https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-14686
