Screen glitch at voice mail

Twice now, my screen has been flashing on and off while trying to navigate voice mail: enter password, hit 1 to play message etc. It will "turn off" for a few seconds and then flash back on for half a second. Has anybody else experienced this? I never lose connection to voice mail, it just starts yelling at me for not responding. Non-rooted phone.

are you by chance blocking the proximity sensor? it is between the speaker and the front facing camera.
if anything gets close to this while in a phone call, the screen will turn off because it thinks you are putting it up to your face.

just keep your hands clear of the top part of the phone and you should be good. if you still notice this, clean the screen (maybe a hair or speck of dust/dirt could trigger it)

if it still is giving you issues, it is not normal, and you should take it back and get a new one.
