Screen goes BLANK during call in progress..HELP!!

I cleaned the sensors on on the top face of the phone and it took care of the problem. I had a screen saver on the face of the phone and it probable left glue on it. Hope it works for you

Applying pressure on the proximity sensor (pressing the sensor gently) worked for me. But as soon as I remove pressure, the screen goes blank again. Looks like there is a loose contact for my case.

Go to settings/call settings/additional settings and make sure `turn on proximity sensor` is NOT checked on the list.

I had the same problem, but i took my screen protector off and my problem dissapeared instantly.

im using Micromax A91

I had this happen to me after dropping my s4 i had smashed the glass & damaged the sensor too. I fixed the problem by turning off all the motion & geatures & air view features until i was able to replace the glass & the screen.

Dear Friend,

Same issue i was facing and found perfect answer of that issue at Airfm.in . It was related to proximity sensor and you can repair it yourself.

Thanks for your valuable support

Just install Proximity Autolock ... then enable the application... this will fix the problem.... already fix mine...

Yep. Had the same problem.
Two things:

1) Remove your screen protector.
OR
2) Clean your screen really well, especially the area around the proximity sensor.

...then you should be good.

Mine blanks out even if in speakerphone mode. It may save power, but how can you multitask? Seems buggy.

Welcome to the forums!
Mine blanks out even if in speakerphone mode.
With the Phone app opened, press the Menu button, select Call settings, then uncheck 'Turn off screen during calls'.

You must deactivate the setting which say proximity alert in call settings. and set the power button to end calls, would be useful for you.
Thanks

looks like its a issue of proximity Issue. or may be screen protector not apply properly.. But currently you can turn it off by

Contacts->Settings->Incoming Call Settings->Proximity Sensor-> ON by default, which you need to turn it OFF.

Hope you understand.

I have rebooted it and still the problem is there. I haven't changed any settings or installed new software. The only thing i downloadd was the met office app yesterday.
May be the screen guard you are using is covering your sensor. Just remove it from the sensor side.

I had the same problem, here is what u do:

First go to the phone app and then go to the key pad, when ur at the key pad press the botten to the left of ur center botten (Left Of The Home Screen Botten) and select settings. Scroll down until u see 'Turn Off Screen During...' and underneath that it says 'Turn on proximity sensor during calls'; untick that box and ur problem should go away.
