Screen is not unlocking normally while opening using digital clock on my Moto X Play, is anyone else having this problem?

Screen is not unlocking normally whicle opening using digital clock in moto x play

I have set my moto x play brightness level to lowest, and now everytime i unlock my phone using digital clock the screen flicks/blinks for a moment
But the same problem doesn't occur when brightness level is normal or highest or unlocking using unlock button.
anyone facing the same problem?

It sounds like the phone is trying to default to regular brightness when set to low and unlocking.
