Screen keeps waking up

Guys, I'm having an issue that I can't figure out on my new Galaxy S III.

Often when I use the power button to put the screen to sleep, I put the phone down, and then about five seconds later, the screen comes back on (and stays on the "unlock" screen)! It will then stay on indefinitely.

What can I do to fix this? It's draining my battery like crazy because the screen is on all the time.

Check your Display settings. Check the Screen Timeout settings. It's not on the charger, right?

Yeah I have it set to time out after 30 seconds so that's not the issue.

Did you ever get a resolution to this issue? Mine just started doing the same thing and it is driving me crazy.

Have you tried rebooting the phone?
