Screen lagging to wake up badly!

anyone else having really bad lag to get the screen to turn on? started a couple days ago seems to be getting worse. i hit the power button to wake up screen and wont respond sometimes for over 15-25 seconds till i wakes up screen. i already deleted cache. restarted the phone. etc

Did you install any of the FREE antivirus/antimalware stuff or battery life HELP/app monitors?
Neighbour of mine handed me his S5 that would literally do NOTHING, after deleting 6/7 of those thing and clearing cache in recovery his phone was like new

Definitely abnormal. Does it also happen if you reboot into Safe Mode? Have you disabled any system apps, or services?

I'd do a factory reset. Very quick and easy.

Is the safe boot also doing a system file check? Is that possible?

It seems like hit or miss with apps. But +1 there's a culprit.

i guess thats my only option which i didn't wanna do lol. whats the best way to back up everything? from all my settings and log in apps so i dont have to do that all over again.
